What We Do

Full building envelope services, under one roof.

The building envelope is everything that keeps the weather out of your building: exterior walls and their finish, windows and doors, balconies and decks, and the flashing and sealant at every joint. As a building envelope contractor based in Austin, Cre8 handles everything from a single stucco crack to a full envelope remediation — one crew, one point of accountability. Construction defect and envelope remediation is our deepest expertise, not a footnote.

Stucco & EIFS Repair

Cracks, delamination, wall leaks, and full re-cladding. Where Cre8 started, and still our deepest expertise.

Masonry Repair

Tuckpointing, repointing, CMU structural repair, stone restoration, and cavity flashing replacement.

Waterproofing & Balconies

Texas’s most overlooked failure point — decks, membranes, railings, thresholds, and drainage.

Windows, Doors & Flashing

The sealant and flashing around openings fail long before the cladding does. We rebuild the interface, not just the surface.

Framing, Painting & Siding

Rotted substrate rebuilt to spec, full exterior repainting and coatings, and siding repair and replacement.

Prime GC — Full Exterior Remediation

One contract, every trade, for facade re-cladding and multi-trade envelope projects across Texas.

Our Deepest Expertise

Construction defect & envelope remediation is the core of what we do.

When an exterior has failed — settlement cracking, hidden rot, chronic wall leaks, or a defect claim on a multi-year-old building — this is the work Cre8 was built for. We open the wall, document what we find behind the cladding, and rebuild it correctly.

When a structural question comes up, we bring in a professional engineer for the structural opinion — that referral is part of doing this work correctly, not a gap in our capability.

Prime General Contractor

One accountable party. From scope to closeout.

Our Story

Fourteen years, one trade, growing accountability.

Cre8 Construction was founded in 2012 as a stucco and masonry contractor in Central Texas. Fourteen years later, we’re the crew other contractors call when the repair is too technical or the failure is too complex — certified by Parex, Dryvit, and STO, with $25M+ in repairs completed.

Today we’re building envelope specialists — scoping, repairing, and now managing envelope-driven remediation projects as prime general contractor. Same crews, same field knowledge, bigger accountability.

“I recently hired Cre8 Construction for a stucco repair job, and I’m very pleased with the results. Andre and his team were able to match and weave the new work, including texture and color, into the original wall, perfectly, without leaving any patched look. It’s rare to find a construction company that communicates this well and respects your property.”

“I looked at six companies for a bid on a leaking wall for my company. The team at Cre8 came out and were the most articulate in what they would do and how they would do it. The job they did was thorough and expertly done.”

For Forensic Engineers & Attorneys

Field documentation. Litigation remediation. Expert support.

Cre8 provides chain-of-custody field documentation, scope-of-repair development, destructive investigation support, and GC execution of remediation scopes for forensic engineers and construction defect attorneys. We understand both sides of the table — the teams executing the repair are the same teams who documented the failure.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a building envelope?

It is the outer shell of a building: the exterior walls and finish, windows and doors, balconies and decks, and the flashing and sealant that keep water out. Most water damage starts when one small piece of it fails.

Do I need an engineer before you can repair something?

Not for most repairs. A cracked or stained wall can usually be scoped and repaired directly. When the question is structural, or the building is part of a defect claim, an engineer’s findings define the scope. We work hand in hand with them and build to it.

What types of buildings do you typically work on?

Our primary focus is commercial and multifamily — apartment communities, mixed-use developments, office buildings, retail centers, schools and institutional buildings, and hospitality. We also work on single-family residential properties. Projects range from targeted single-building repairs to complex multi-building re-cladding scopes.

What geographic area do you serve?

Cre8 Construction is headquartered in Austin and serves Central Texas including Austin, San Antonio, and the Hill Country. We take projects across Texas statewide for the right scope and client.

Do you provide services for construction defect cases and litigation?

Yes. Cre8 provides forensic field documentation support, scope-of-repair development, and GC execution of remediation scopes for engineering firms and construction defect attorneys. Visit our For Professionals page for details.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Cre8 Construction is fully insured and has bonding capacity. We are a certified HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) and an AWCI member.

How much does stucco or masonry repair cost?

Cost depends on the size of the repair and what we find once we open the wall — a cosmetic crack repair is very different from a delamination repair with hidden water damage. We provide a fixed-price proposal promptly after we have scoped the work, so you know the full cost before any work starts.

How long does a typical repair take?

A single stucco crack or small masonry repair is often complete in 1-3 days. Larger scopes — full facade sections, balcony waterproofing, or multi-building work — are scheduled and phased based on square footage and complexity, with a clear timeline provided in your proposal.

What’s your warranty?

Cre8 provides a minimum 1-year workmanship warranty on all repair work. As a certified applicator for Parex, Dryvit, and STO, many of our stucco and EIFS repairs also qualify for the manufacturer’s own system warranty, which can extend well beyond our workmanship warranty depending on the product installed.

Do you work with my insurance company on storm or hail damage claims?

Yes. We regularly document exterior damage and coordinate directly with homeowners’ insurance carriers on stucco, masonry, and window damage from storms and hail.

Who actually shows up to do the work?

Cre8 self-performs the core envelope trades — stucco, EIFS, masonry, and waterproofing — with our own crews, not a rotating cast of subcontractors. The same team that scopes the problem is the team that fixes it.

Your building’s exterior is telling you something. Let’s fix it.

Whether you’re facing a specific problem or planning ahead, Cre8’s team is available for a no-obligation conversation. Most repair proposals are issued within 48 hours of our first call.
